FB didn't have to try very hard. At the time FB users were getting used to using things that would replace RTTP threads, like Event pages and FB groups, the number of annoying anon trolls on RTTP was exponentially increasing.

Aaron's arbitrarily-principled refusal to require logins made it all too easy for everyone to make the decision to migrate away from here onto FB.

Not all anonymous trolls were annoying.

New England Metalheads needed their safe spaces so they went to Facebook.

People were afraid to post here because they'd get ripped to shreds.

Now they have their little group of friends who feed their egos with their online posting.

Anonymous posters drove this forum and made it fun. It was not always fun but it was fun.
