Scene: The camera pans into a dingy, cracked basement window. Beelze sits hunched over a late 90s Packard Bell PC on a damp-eaten card table. As the camera pans across his grease-slicked face, we see his features frozen in an expression of sheer outrage. He hammers at his keyboard in apoplectic fury; his clenched, lily-white fists raising a hail of broken keys with every blow. A shrill voice drifts down the stairs; his mom is telling him to take out the trash. With an inarticulate screech, he sweeps the computer, monitor and all, into a mold-blackened box full of new-in-box Power Rangers and Darkwing Duck pogs at the end of the table. The camera follows him as he stomps upstairs, panning up through the floor and cutting to a tranquil lake where Josh sits, fishing. A loon's cry echoes across the water.
