your reason is far from valid. so YOU don't want to get married. that doesn't mean you can speak for ANYONE else, gay or straight. so you say gays don't need to get married, they can be happy without that legal document. but if that's the case then the exact same can be said towards heterosexuals. why should a man and woman get married? they don't need to, they want to. and gays should have that right to decide as well. the fact of the matter is simple, this is a free country, and according to the declaration of independence, we are all created equal. it doesn't say "except for homosexuals"
