solipsist is not a serious band. our music is just for personal enjoyment. we've played 2 shows in our 2 year existence. this band is not something we dedicate ourselves to. therefore it doesn't bother me that people are hacking up our songs. when it comes down to it, yes it is 100% Meshuggah influenced. i don't care, it's fun as fuck to play. it definitely sounds weak with no bass or vocals, but we're just fucking around.
there is one thing i would like to clear up though... we didn't play NMCC on the radio (we played it while setting up to check the mic levels). it wasn't broadcast on the radio. i just looked at the drummer and said "play new millenium cyanide christ at 120" and we just did it for the fuck of it, then he sped up the click track about half a minute in and we kept going through the end cuz we hadn't played it in so long. the drummer honestly hadn't played that song in over a year.
