there are plenty of death metal bands in MA that would have huge followings if they ever got booked to open for international acts like VR. instead, whoever is responsible for booking cares more about their wallet than the music scene, hence you get shows like this where its about dollar signs not music. not to mention you are used to seeing death metal shows with 6 people at them because its a bunch of locals and no one knows who the fuck the bands are because..why? they are stuck playing dive shows with shitty sound and worse location and cant get an opening gig because whoever is booking it only wants money so they sign the biggest locals regardless of genre continuity or the club will make you sell 2 grand worth of tickets if you want to be on the bill which makes locals who draw from the same crowd compete to sell tickets at absurd prices and eventually just pool their money and drop a grand to play 4 songs.

who would have thought.
