Same with the Patriot Act, also the Violent radicalization and homegrown terrorist prevention act, Veterans Disarmament Act (which includes people who had been diagnosed with ADHD as chidren, which we all know is a sham "illness" created to put more money in the pockets of the pharmaceutical companies)

Problem - Reaction - Solution in true form. Create the conflict yourself to gain a reaction from the public (9/11), that "something must be done" (protect us from those big bad "terrorists") Once the public is complying you can enact whatever it is you were wishing to achieve in the first place (diminishment of civil liberties, and advancement of omnisurveillance, for the illusion of security).
