However, pretty flawed logic. If you were doing anything with video or audio work you'd quickly find that external drives are used not only for backup, but also for quick and easy transportation of large files or collections of files. In the audio recording world external drives are very common for per-project usage. Many studios will purchase a single external drive for a single project, which allows for the files to be easily moved from studio to studio and also simplifies the archive process.

When you only NEED 100-200 GIG for an audio project, why the hell would you spend TWICE the price just because it's a better value?
