A few things: It's very fast downloading, comparable to cable. Uploading, not so much - the transmitter just can't handle it. Gaming, no. Downloading gigs and gigs of tentacle rape hentai, yes. And, yes, the weather can really effect it, and if it gets whacked you have to have it re-pointed, which is a pain in the balls for everyone involved. Installation wasn't free when I was doing it (two years ago), but that may have changed.
