My grandmother is racist. I still love her. Point is, why the fuck should you care about the bands' opinions or messages? Secondly, you've now dismissed the use of both the word "gay" and the word "faggot". Quite frankly, these were words long before someone decided to use them as labels for sexual preference. Faggot connotes smallness, or brittleness. Gay means festive and exuberant. You can go home and sleep with three dozen women, but if afterwards you put on a pink shirt and tailored pants, you're still gay. If you're a skinny weakling, you're a faggot.

Never try to battle words, it's pointless. If you need to stand up for your beliefs (which I encourage) then ignore the words and instead take a stand against the ACTIONS.
